Impressive Arts and Crafts hallstand in the style of Shapland & Petter. Dating to the early 20th Century, the heyday of handmade Britsh Oak furniture, this item is around 100 years old. It features copper metalwork, 6 coat and hat hooks, a small glazed cabinet at the top, the original bevelled central mirror and 2 umbrella sections with removable trays which are each side of a central drawer shelf.
With all the requirements of the modern family home present, this piece of furniture is an ideal piece for the hallway of a period house. It has plenty of space for umbrellas, coats, hats, sticks, boots and shoes, along with the quality and style associated with the Arts & Crafts movement.
Dating to circa 1910, this piece is made of oak and originates from the UK.
Condition report:
In good age-related condition, this piece sits sturdily to the floor. It has a stain in the wood on the small shelf above the drawer and the mirror has some damage to the silvering at the edges. The key for the upper cupboard is present and the lock is working.
