Small French Woven Market Basket Gathering Basket. 1950s Woven Basket Small Rustic Fruit Bowl. Rustic Kitchen Vegetable Basket

A lovely and unusual little French vintage woven market basket. The basket section is quite small in comparison to the height of the handles. The handles structure is wood that has been shaped and also forms the rim of the basket. There is a wooden strap around the bottom of the basket to keep the structure strong. I’ve never seen one quite like this.

Condition report:

It could be used easily to store eggs or fruit or vegetables in a rustic, shabby chic, kitchen, especially as a hanging storage in a storeroom. It has so many uses inside the house or outside.
