Attractive 19th century Anglo-Indian desktop smokers cabinet,c1880. The cabinet is hardwood (weighing 1.6kg) with silver plated escutcheon, decorative shield and
edging to the top. The door is decorated with a carved central figure which appears to be a Hindu deity. The interior has a shelf and brackets, presumably for holding
pipes. The wood has taken on great colour/patina and this is an attractive and functional box / small cupboard which will sit on a desk/table or hang on a wall.
