Lovely hand-carved item from Brittany, Northern France. Good solid piece. Some old in active woodworm holes noted. A lovely solidly handmade and rustic piece of French office or kitchenware would look great alongside other rustic wooden items. Could be painted to match your home decor.

Condition report:

It is in a good vintage condition. Old inactive woodworm holes, small chip on right front corner (see photo 6). One nail shows on the inside base, but this doesn’t affect its function. Screws on the base are rusted.
