This is a superbly useful cupboard dating to the 19th century.
Made of mahogany, pine and mixed woods it could serve a variety of uses in any home. It is perfect for use as a housekeeping cupboard, large enough for quilts and linens, or it would also make an unusual large vanity unit for a bathroom.
The front is fitted with double doors which are set under three frieze drawers, all finished with attractive brass handles, the doors open to reveal a large interior cupboard space.
The cupboard has canted corners and is set on block feet.
It has an evocative look, the wood is a lovely rich warm brown colour. At a later point in its life the top has been fitted with pine panels which have been stripped and waxed.
